It used to be rare to see a virus. Now I get five to ten per day. A friend got a virus a few weeks ago and spent three days repairing the damage.
Symantec's Norton AntiVirus is easy to install and use. It updates itself whenever there are new virus. You can get a 30-day free trial version of Norton Antivirus. Visit Symantec and either download the free trial version or buy it online or at any computer store. After installing it, update their virus catalog so it has the latest list of virus. Finally, let it scan your computer for virus. This can take four or five hours, so just let it run all night.
